Mrs. Hutchcroft's students are using Think Through Math, a Web-based curriculum designed to raise math achievement for students in grades 3 through Algebra I. Students receive immediate feedback at every step as well as access to state-certified math teachers. This makes it easy for students to get help with math even when they are away from their teacher and school. -- April 2013
AME first graders are learning to create avatars with Voki. They are creating a digital representation of themselves. After their characters are created, scholars can record their own voices or use program generated voices to tell their story. They can also be used to represent fictional or historical characters, tell stories about animals or people, and serve as "tour guides". -- March 2013
Anderson Mill students produce a morning show that is broadcast live throughout the school. The students rotate roles so that everyone gets to experience being a technician and being on camera as an anchor. The broadcasts inform students and staff about school happenings and RRISD events. -- February 2013
AME's "Tech Talk" group meets weekly after school to learn and share various Web 2.0 Tools. These students are writing scripts for their chosen Web 2.0 tool to use in a Technology how-to video. The videos will be broadcast over the school's television channel so that other students and teachers can learn about new technology integration tools to enhance learning. -- January 2013
Students in Mrs. German's third grade class use the Promethean Activote classroom response devices to demonstrate their understanding of rounding. The "clickers" allow students to anonymously commit to an instructor-posed question in class and provide immediate feedback for the students and teacher. -- October 2012.
